We are looking for a Bookkeeper to work with our Australian clients from a range of industries.

Your role is to provide outstanding bookkeeping services to help our clients in managing their financial affairs.

Daily Responsibilities

  • Record financial transactions into our clients’ bookkeeping systems
  • Assist the supervisors and/or managers in producing financial reports
  • Process financial documents as needed by the clients
  • Record of financial transactions and completing the posting process to Xero and other cloud-based bookkeeping systems
  • Review of account codes and re-coding of transactions
  • Process of purchase and sales invoices
  • Verify that invoices and transactions comply with Purchase Orders
  • Process authorised payment to supplier’s invoices in an accurate and timely manner
  • Reconcile of bank transactions, general ledger accounts and other accounts
  • Review and balance of Balance Sheet and P&L account codes
  • Encode and post journal entries for accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Complet year-end GST reconciliation with ATO lodgement documentation
  • Prepare and lodge Business and Instalment Activity Statements to the Australian Tax Office
  • Process of payroll including payroll file payment and bank uploads
  • Process of expense claims and reimbursements
  • Reconcile payroll and superannuation accounts
  • Assist with month-end accounting process including Payroll and Accounts Payable journals
  • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Prepare and pay payroll tax returns (monthly) and reconciliation on an annual basis
  • Provide clerical and administrative support to management as requested
  • Contribute to team effort by accomplishing other tasks as requested by the client and/or management.
  • Perform other tasks as required by the client and the management

Minimum Requirements

  • Experience with Xero, MYOB, Quickbooks
  • At least 2 years of experience handling Australian accounts
  • At least 3 years of experience in an accounting role
  • A high degree of English proficiency (verbal and written)
  • Knowledge of generally accepted accounting/bookkeeping principles and procedures
