Role and Opportunity
Your new role is to work (remote setup) with our client’s payroll team to deliver flawless payroll and timesheet in a timely manner for their various clients in the agriculture industry. There’s no room for error – your attention to detail and analytical skills will be tested every single day.

Purpose
As a Payroll Officer, you will provide remote work services to:

Process timesheets and payments to staff and clients within the business’s temporary workforce with absolute precision.

Take full responsibility for the timely preparation of salaries and payments – no mistakes, no excuses.

Proactively show initiative but never lose sight of the overall business objective.

Prepare weekly payroll with unyielding accuracy, on time, and in strict compliance with the relevant industrial instrument.

Ensure all timesheets, payroll changes, records, and other essential documents are submitted before the payroll run deadline – no exceptions.

Enter data with exacting accuracy for the continuous maintenance of payroll data within the system, including processing new starters or updating existing employee records.

Deliver electronic pay slips promptly to temporary and casual employees without delay.

Keep electronic filing systems meticulously organized for secure data retention.

Address payroll inquiries with impeccable customer service, providing accurate and timely responses verbally or in writing as required.

Reconcile and report on financial data related to payroll with rigorous attention to detail.

Request and manage payroll for special and late runs without fail.

Perform other tasks as required by the client and the management

- You quickly learn new payroll systems and software.
- You perform your duties with minimal supervision and still produce outstanding results.
- You have absolute respect for confidentiality and sensitivity of information, with the flexibility to perform other relevant tasks as required by the client or management
- Holds a degree in accounting/finance or a related field
- Fresh graduates with good English communication skills are welcome to apply
- Proficient in Excel and familiar with other Microsoft 365 apps such as Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, Word and OneDrive
Essential Experience
Advantageous (Optional Qualifications)
- Having 1 year of experience in a payroll/accounting role
- Experience with Xero, MYOB, QuickBooks, or similar accounting software
- Background in Australian payroll
